Are your children looking for something unique and different to do during school breaks? Have them trade that iPad or video game for a weeklong journey into glass and jewelry art! At our camp, your child will learn the fundamentals of glass bead and jewelry making. Art camps are great for parents looking for something different for their creative kids, and we have programs designed for all ages, from elementary to high school.
- The Jewelry/Bead camp (2/18/19-2/22/19) for ages 7 to 11 teaches the basics of jewelry design using glass beads, semi precious stones, freshwater pearls and Swarovski crystals. There will be a new project each day: from earrings, bracelets and necklaces to key chains and bookmarks.
- The Teen Glass Beadmaking Camp (2/18/19-2/22/19) for ages 12 to 16 teaches the fundamentals of glass beadmaking using a gas and oxygen-fueled torch and soft glass. Each student will make between 3-5 beads each day. On the last day, students will learn how to turn their beads into finished jewelry.
Younger kids' camp runs Monday through Friday from 9am to 12pm and teen camps run Mon-Fri 1-4pm. There is a 15-minute snack. Kids can bring their own lunches or have pizza delivered for a small fee. A nut-free snack and drink will be provided. Class sizes are limited. Kids can also sign up for the entire week or individual days.
